New Life Challenge

Here is the Life as I Know It world (very, very small world...consists of about 20 people), there are more MAJOR changes.  All good changes, but changes all the same.  So, starting on Sunday, June 24th, 2012, Nick and I are starting a challenge.  This challenge includes working out every day and eating no bad foods.  My goal is to have a SMOKIN' Hot body by the time P-Daddy and I go on our mini-vaca!

All the Kids are Sick

And it SUCKS!  I feel so bad for my little darlings.  They have gone to the Dr. and most have nothing more than a VIRUS (I am pretty sure the meaning of Virus is: What Dr's tell parents when they have no idea!)!  Except my poor Pookie (the 16 year old), and he has pneumonia.  Hopefully the antibiotics he is on will kick in soon!  But in the meantime, the kids are all lounging around watching movie and eating junk!

I hope all my lovies get to feeling better soon!  But, This is just LIFE AS I KNOW IT!

Yes, I KNOW!

Kids!  I have 6 of them.  Their ages are 16, 13, 12, 10, 3 and 10 months (as of this posting).

Here I am walking around Target with Baby Ed on my hip, and some very nice lady says: "He is so cute!"
Me: Thank you
Nice Lady: Cherish every moment.  They are only this age once.
Me: Oh I know.  He has 5 older siblings.
Nice Lady: WHAT?
Me: Yes, he is one of 6.
Nice Lady: How old are you?
Me: 32???  (Why do people get personal?  Why is it any of her business how old I am???)
Nice, Nosy Lady:  You do know what causes that, Right? (Giggle)
Me: Yes ma'am, I do.
Nice VERY Nosy Lady: Are you going to have any more?
Me: I don't know.  We will see!

For the record, I do, IN FACT, know what causes babies!  I am known as Fertile Myrtle in certain circles.  I also will not be having any more babies.  This Momma is DONE!  


Why are people so flippin' nosy?  Why is it any of their business how many children I have?

Well, I get this kind of stuff daily!  This is just LIFE AS I KNOW IT!

Happy Father's Day

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!

I am thankful that I have my dad. He is not perfect, but he admits it! He was perfect for me. We believe a lot of the same things. We talk about things that a lot of people do not understand. He taught me to own my own imperfections. Don't blame others; just accept who you are. Happy Father's Day Dad! I love you!

Back Into the Swing

Yes! It is time!

It is time to get back into the swing of things. I loved being away from the world for a week, but I am really glad to be home. I hope everyone has a great week! Now it is time to hit the ground running. This is life as I know it!

Relax and Trust

I love the above quote!  Trust and Believe that everything is going to be fine, and it will be.  My life is so crazy, and I do not always relax, but I am getting better at it.

Redoing the House

Yes, I am going to be doing some MAJOR redoing of this house this summer.  And considering that summer (kids out of school) is only June and July, and they go back the 1st of August, we have LOTS of work in a short period of time. 

I LOVE the door above.  I want to do this on our front door, but the one above is a double door, and ours is a single.  I wonder if it will look ok.  Hmmm???  I guess we will find out some time this summer!!!

Mom of 6 and MMA

As most of you know, I LOVE MMA.  The above pic is of my 16 year old son (black hair, blue shirt) in class.  My hand was injured, so I decided to take some pics.  Both of these young men, and several others, are competing at the end of June.  I am proud of both of these guy.  These 2 have come a very long way in the past few months.

I Am a Tiger

I have lots of stripes.  I consider them my battle scars.  I used to look at my stretch marks with lots of disgust, but now, I look at them differently.  The marks cover what used to be the home to my 6 babies.  The place they lived and grew for 9 months.

No, No one will ever see the 6 pack I have under them.  And, NO, I will never wear another bikini.  But, you know, that is OK.

My stretch marks are much worse that Ms. Ashley's above, but she is right.  I don't give a rip.  I did earn them!
